18/15.    Ladder to SRO Alappuzha.

               It is requested to provide a ladder so as to make the cleaning of fans and replacing of tube lights easy.

               Permission has been given to SRO for the purchase of Ladder on 10.12.2015.

20/15.    Modernising of MPCM at Kottayam RMS. Necessary steps to curb the shabby look is requested. Supply of a new system also necessitated.

               Painting works of Kottayam RMS including MPCM Counter has been completed and a calling bell has been provided to the counter. A new system will be supplied on January 2016, after its receipt from Directorate. Also, permission has not been given by Railways for carrying out other works for modernising the counter for which major structural changes are required.

27/15.    Repairing of Windows and doors of bathroom of Kollam RMS

               Windows and doors of bathroom of Kollam RMS are in dilapidated condition and became path to rodents including snakes. Immediate repairing is requested.

               Postal Civil Wing visited Kollam RMS and prepared an estimate for renovation of the building which includes repairing of windows and doors of bathroom of Kollam RMS.


28/15.    Flooring of bag branch and scooter shed of Kollam RMS is requested.

29/15.    Booking counter of Kollam RMS
               Present booking counter is not sufficient to meet the increased business. The staff side is congested and customer side lakes cabin. Hence modernisation to meet the increased business is requested.

               As per the report of IP, some structural changes are required for modernizing the counter and Railways has not granted permission for removal of counter window and grills inside the staff portion. Also, due to scarcity of space inside the building after introduction of PH/EPH, the feasibility of modernization of the counter in the present building is remote.

30/15.    Supply of a new generator to Changanacherry Stg

               No generator is available in Changanacherry Stg which is having night sets.  Also power failure is being experienced during duty hours, which disturbs the smooth functioning of the set. Hence supply of new generator to Changanacherry Stg is requested.

               The proposal for purchase of a portable generator has been forwarded to C.O vide this office letter No. Z-20/GNR/III/CHRY dated 02.11.2015. Action is underway. In the meantime, permission will be given to SRO for the purchase of 2 to 3 rechargeable LED tube lights, as per requirement.

31/15.    Laser printer and shelf for keeping records to SRO Tiruvalla.

               It is requested to supply one laser printer and a shelf for keeping records to SRO Tiruvalla.

               Printer will be supplied, subject to the availability of funds. Regarding construction of wall shelf, the report of SRO Tiruvalla has been called for.




32/15.    Trivandrum RMS:- Cash bags are being received from certain Post offices. No correspondences have been received from D. O in this regard. Also no facility is being provided to keep the cash bags. These bags are being dumped in the floor behind MSA lacking proper security. Necessary orders may kindly be caused.

                The case has already been taken up with Circle Office vide this office letter No. D4/10/13 dated 30.6.2015. Further orders from C.O is awaited. Reminded on 06.10.2015 and 04.11.2015.



35/15.    TV 32 IN opening in NSH TVM:- The work of NSH TVM became heavy and unmanageable. Bags received through TV 32 IN available at TVM TMO at about 13.15 hrs and Mumbai side bags  available at Airport at about 13.30 hrs could be opened in day unit. This will be a relief to the night unit.

               The case has been taken up with SSPOs, TVM (N) Division for arranging an additional MMS for despatching of Speed Bags and Express parcel bags received through TV-32 IN to NSH TVM, as per the report of Manager, NSH TVM. This will also be discussed in the next Mail Co-ordination meeting.

37/15.    NSH TVM deals with 200-250 EPP [heavy and bulky] articles per day. At present no additional establishment is given. This causes heavy burden to the officials in addition to their normal work. Kindly arrange one o/s & one mazdoor for processing of EPP articles in NSH TVM.

               Creation and abolition of posts are not under the purview of SSRM ‘TV’ Division. Hence this may be taken up with Circle Office.

41/15.    Provide fan above the express sorting cases in Kollam RMS

               One fan has been purchased and provided in the Express Parcel Sorting branch.

43/15.    Supply of scanning table to CRC Alappuzha is requested.

               Scanning table has been supplied to CRC Alappuzha on 21.12.2015.

44/15.    Computer tables to Kayamkulam RMS

               Only two computer tables were available for the four systems using in various branches. So it is requested to replace two wooden tables by computer tables in order to save space for the smooth functioning.

               SRO Kayamkulam has been directed to forward competitive quotations.

45/15.    Sorting chairs for Kollam RMS.

               It is requested to supply new Sorting chairs replacing damaged ones.
                             
               Report of SRO Kollam will be called for.

46/15.    Wax Heater to Changanassery Stg.

               Wax Heater of Changanassery Stg is not in working condition. So it is requested to supply a new one.

               Indent has been forwarded to PSD TVM for the supply of five wax heaters. The same will be supplied on its receipt.

47/15.    Heavy work load in the night unit of EPH Kottayam. An average of 200 EPs are dealing in the night set. Since the number of closing bags is also 100 plus, the work load of GSA, dealing EP articles, is tedious. It is suggested to arrange GSA 2 post in EP branch.

               Report of IP Kottayam RMS will be called for.

48/15.    Supply of sufficient cushioned dwarf stools, sorting trays and computer chairs for Kottayam RMS is requested.

               Report of SRO Kottayam has been called for.
